How many cigarettes are smoked daily for people to be considered smokers? I heard people claim smoking one cigarette a day does not make them smokers. Also in research journals, how many cigarettes a day are they talking about when referring to smokers?

Ive been smoking marijuana for about 5 yrs. but it didnt get to be an every-day habbit until about 2 years ago. I wanna stop smoking mainly for health reasons and also im looking for a good job. What seems to be the most effective to stop smoking? Im looking for answers from former smokers (former pot-heads). Thanks.

Why is it so hard to stop smoking? and is there a trick to quitting besides synthetic drugs?

I don’t want to substitute one drug for another (chantix, etc), but I’m really desperate to stop today! I’ve cut back dramatically, but it seems like when my heart rate is elevated from exercise or stress, I get a terrible craving for cigarettes. The same thing happens when I have conversations with other people, or if I see or smell someone else smoking.

Any advice from former smokers will help.. Thanks!
