Scientific studies have clearly shown that cash incentives are one of THE most effective ways to get people to do stuff. This includes helping drug addicts quit and stopping criminals re offending. So… basically… FUCK ‘why we giving money to criminals/smokers/whatever’ … it’s coz it works! no matter what your common sense says.
oh and cost of bribes is vastly less than cost of treating smokers for lung cancer on the NHS so taxpayers alliance can stfu too.
